Terms & Conditions

In the following the term “Company” shall mean Baileys Skip Hire and Recycling Limited

  1. Baileys Skip Hire and Recycling Ltd will not accept any responsibility for any damage that occurs on a customers property for the following:

    Manhole covers or any similar cover in a roadway, drive or ground which has to be traversed by the lorry delivering the skip to the position where the skip has been instructed to be placed by the owner or any person acting on their behalf, of that drive or roadway or ground.


    Any damage caused to any driveway, road, pathway, etc of whatever construction which the vehicle delivering the skip requires to traverse in order to deliver the skip(s)  to such position as has been requested by the owner or any person acting on the owner’s behalf or appearing to act on the owner’s behalf and with the owner’s authority.

    Any damage caused to fencing, walls or hedgerows etc by following the instructions of the owner, or persons having the authority of an owner or appearing to have the authority of the owner and acting on their behalf. 

  1. All skips to be filled only to a level load – skips will not be collected if they are overloaded, unevenly loaded, contain prohibited, etc due to Health and Safety precautions. 
  1. The hirer or persons acting on behalf of the hirer are responsible for any lights and cones fitted to the skip or placed around the skip required by highways authorities.
  1. No fires are to be lit in the skip and any damage or misuse will be charged.
  1. The following items/materials are prohibited and must not be placed in the skip: 

Refrigerators, Freezers, Televisions, Monitor screens or any similar items, Fluorescent Tubes whether whole or broken, asbestos in any quantity or any item contaminated by asbestos, vehicle tyres or any similar tyre, oil in any quantity whether in a sealed or open container, fire extinguishers, any form of container used for gas or LPG whether full or empty. 

  1. Hire charges are for ONE week only unless agreed otherwise. A weekly rental charge may be applied for any part or whole week which has not been agreed by the Company. 
  1. Payment of the skip hire is due on or before delivery unless otherwise agreed. Payments of excess loads, tonnages or etc are payable on receipt of invoice. 
  1. Settlement of all Account and Contract customers balance/invoices etc are due on or before the end of the month following the date of invoice unless other terms have been agreed with the company.

Duty of Care: Environmental Protection Act 1990

The Waste Producer Warrants that:-

  1. The waste does not contain tyres, asbestos, ‘special’, hazardous or clinical wastes.
  2. The waste does not contain hazardous concentrations of any Noxious, Poisonous or polluting Substances. 
  3. Any significant change in the waste will be declared to Bailey’s Skip Hire and Recycling Limited in advance of collection.
  4. The EWC Code(s) referred to are correct.
  5. The Waste Hierarchy has been considered by the Company in deciding the most appropriate waste management option for that waste.
